The Simeulue Regency Statistics Office (BPS Kabupaten Simeulue) welcomed a visit from the Acting Regent of Simeulue, Teuku Reza Fahlevi, S.E., M.M., on February 7, 2025. The visit aimed to discuss the poverty rate in Simeulue while also presenting a certificate of appreciation for achieving a GOOD rating in the Statistical Development Index (IPS) as part of the 2024 Sectoral Statistics Implementation Evaluation.
The percentage of poor residents in Simeulue Regency decreased from 17.92% in 2023 to 17.64% in 2024. This decline indicates that the government's poverty alleviation policies in 2024 have had a positive impact.
