One of the surveys conducted by the BPS regularly each year is National socio-economic Survey (Susenas). Through Susenas data collected relating to the socio-economic condition of the community include the health condition, education, fertility, family planning, housing, and other economic and social conditions. The data and indicators from the Susenas were used widely and is seen as one of the important evidence that could be useful for planning, monitoring, and evaluation of development programs of the Government.
As stated in the National Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMN) 2010-2014, there is a growing need for quality data and information to support the planning and formulation of evidence-based policies, not only from the Central Government and the regions, but also from private organizations, academia, and research institutions. In line with the basic tasks in carrying out activities of BPS statistics aims to provide statistical data are complete, accurate, and up-to-date in order to realize a reliable national statistics System, effectively, and efficiently, in support of national development, BPS is committed to continue building his image through quality data services and prima (fast, good, easy, and cheap) to the user data.
Counting Susenas 2015 was carried out simultaneously in all 34 provinces and kabupaten/kota 511 in Indonesia on Dec. 1-March 20, 2015 with coverage of 300,000 households. Meanwhile, in Jember Regency coverage this survey covers the whole subdistrict with 1,120 households. Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) counting of households carried out by means of direct interviews of respondents on all sample households on the census blocks are the responsibility of the counter with a questionnaire that has been provided. Every counter will be overseen by Trustees in accordance the job and each supervisor responsible for 3 to 4 task region corresponding counter.
The information collected is confidential and only used for statistical calculations. So,every officer is not authorized to discuss it, tell or show the record/information that to others who are not authorized officer/BPS.
The statistics produced from the Susenas 2015 among other statistics/indicator of people's welfare, Community consumption patterns, and household spending.
